SET UP & USE
1. ON/OFF: Power the air cooler on by pressing the "ON/OFF" button; The lights
will flash on the LED display and the unit will operate at low fan speed, displaying
the room temperature. You can now select between the Speed, Spin, Timing,
Cooling/Humidify and Mode functions.
Turn the air cooler off at any time by pressing the ON/OFF" button again to revert
back to standby mode.
2. SPEED: You can adjust the speed to the desired level: LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH
by pressing "SPEED" continuously. The control panel will display
(MEDIUM)
SPIN: Press the "SPIN" button so the fan blades rotate 360 degrees. The

corresponding control panel light will display the SPIN symbol. Press twice for the
fan to rotate in the opposite direction. Press again to deactivate it.
Press and hold the "Spin" button and "Timer" button simultaneously for 3 seconds
to Deactivate the "beep" sound each time the buttons are pressed; press and hold
the two buttons again to turn on the sound.
4. TIMING: The air cooler is equipped with a timer that allows you to set its length
of operation from .5 hour to 8 hours. Continue to press the TIMING button to
increase by .5 hour increments each time. The LED screen will display the selected
amount of time with an "H" indicator next to it. The LED will display the remaining
time and will enter standby mode after reaching the specified time.
5. COOLING/HUMIDIFY: Pressing this button will activate the COOLING/HUMIDIFY
functions. The corresponding symbol will illuminate on the LED display. Before
using this mode make sure water tank is full, and the cooling pad is in place. (See
Evaporative Air Cooler Set-up page 7)
6. MODE: Press the MODE button to scroll between NORMAL, NATURAL, SLEEP
and SMART Modes
• The default mode is NORMAL and provides a steady air flow.
NATURAL mode cycles through low, medium and high fan speeds

In SLEEP mode the fan operates in NATURAL mode and will cycle to a lower
•
fan speed after 30 minutes of operation when set at either a high or medium
fan speed. The LED display will indicate the sleep mode symbol and the set
wind speed (high, medium, low). The set wind speed on the LED display will not
change when the unit changes to a lower speed.
If sleep mode is set with the fan at high speed it will operate 30 minutes at high
speed, 30 minutes at medium speed, 30 minutes at low speed.
If set at medium speed it will operate 30 minutes at medium speed, 30 minutes
at low speed.
If set at low speed the air cooler will continue running at low speed.
• In SMART mode a fan speed is automatically selected based on the ambient
temperature. When SMART mode is selected, the ambient temperature, SMART
mode symbol and Fan speed symbols flash 3 times on the LED screen. The fan
speed is selected according to the following ambient temperatures:
When the ambient temperature is below 77°F, it runs at low speed
When the ambient temperature is 77-84°F, it runs at medium speed
When the ambient temperature is above 84°F, it runs at high speed
Pressing the SPEED button cancels smart mode and returns to NORMAL mode
