    Remote Control The unit includes a remote control for accessing the On Screen Display. Press the MENU button to bring up the OSD menu. Use the Arrow keys to navigate and press ENTER to select an item. If you wish to exit the On Screen Display, press MENU repeatedly until the OSD is removed.

     IR IN Jack – A remote IR receiver may be plugged into the front panel IR jack. This allows use of the Remote Control even when the unit may be installed in an enclosure or behind a TV where IR access is difficult. The connections are: Tip=Signal, Ring=GND, and Sleeve=+5V.

    QS Pro Designer 7X Workflow Click on the Videos Tab and add your video content to the Video database. If you have pictures, add them under the Images Tab. You may also create a “Channel” for setting up web sites or RTP/UDP streaming sources under the Channels Tab.

    GPIO Interface Programming The MP800G can be ordered with a GPIO interface to allow customer interaction with the player using push buttons or sensors. This allows the player to play a video, playlist or ATSC tuner channel upon receiving a button press from the GPIO inputs of a MP800 media player.

    Layouts and Templates QS Pro Designer 7X has the ability to create and manage multilayer screens via Layouts that you create. Select Layouts from the toolbar. You may create a very media rich layout using the included tools. The image to the right is showing the Layout creation screen.

If you placed a SlideShow zone, right click on it and add the desired images to the box that opens. If there is a RSS feed in the layout, right click and setup the needed parameters.

    Software (continued) Firewall Issues QS Pro Designer uses HTTP protocol when downloading files to the media players. If QS Pro Designer fails to download files to the players, a PC firewall or a firewall in the router may be blocking this operation. Virus protection programs may block this operation also.

    CE labs CCM2 Content Manager for Windows® The MP800 can be remotely controlled over the internet via the CE labs CCM2 player application. The CE Labs Content Manager (CCM2) is a paid subscription service hosted in the Cloud and allows users to upload media files, create content playlists, control player parameters and download media/playlist information to the MP800 media player over the internet.

    CCM2 for Windows CCM2 is enterprise level software used to control hundreds of media players that can be spread over a diverse geographical or network landscape. This type of software is generally very expensive to purchase and maintain, but our software breaks barriers in price point per unit.   • Page 21 Main CCM Screen: Getting Started: After setting up one or more media players, you are ready to begin adding players to the system and assigning content so that video and playlists can be loaded. The best process to add players is to allow them to call into the server and click on the add button that appears on the MONITOR page.

    Chapter 4 – MP800 OPERATION Initial Startup Procedure Once the unit has been mounted and configured with the appropriate cabling, connect the power supply to a suitable AC outlet. The green LCD on the front of unit will illuminate and will after a brief delay; it will show the unit IP address.

    OSD / On Screen Display menu Point the remote control at the unit and press the MENU button. The menu at right will appear. Pressing ENTER while the FILE BROWSER is highlighted will bring up this menu and allow you to directly launch any content that is locally stored on the unit SD card (or USB if inserted).
  • Page 24 Many of the control functions are accessible via network control. In order to determine the IP Address of the unit, press MENU on the Remote Control while pointing at IR input on the front of the unit. Press the down arrow and then ENTER on INFORMATION.

    The last item on the Player Setup menu is CONFIGURATION. This is used to replace default values, setup a password for SNMP version 3, Set the Real Time Clock, (option: Tuner scan of available RF channels if the unit is a MP800T), disable the IR remote number buttons, or to reboot the unit.

    Using the Tuner Input on the MP800T The unit may be ordered with an integrated tuner module that supports ATSC and QAM signal formats. In order to use the tuner for a particular mode, press the menu button and navigate to PLAYER SETUP, CONFIGURATION, and TUNER SETTINGS.

MP7XX Folders The basic folder structure of the SD card or USB flash drive as used on the MP7XX players is as follows: Html/ Video/ Music/ Picture/ Playlist/ Media files and playlists can be placed in the associated folder. The SD card or USB flash drive is then inserted into the player and play back is then accomplished by using the IR remote.

    MP800 Quick Facts Use the remote control to locally start and stop the player.  Press the STOP button to stop the currently playing file.  Press the “MENU” button on the remote and then “FILE BROWSER” on the OSD to browse the files on the internal memory card.

If you wish to set the player up manually, that is possible as well, but will require some configuration. Two configuration text files and six folders will need to be created on the target SD card.
