SECTION. 4 OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS
4-1

General

This section describes the procedures for starting and stopping of the transmitter as well
as the methods of adjustment of the component sections in the sequence of powering these
sections.
Before starting the equipment, inspect these sections for anything abnormal and correct
or repair as required.
Prestarting Inspection and Service:
(1) The operator should be alert to take prompt action against any emergencies before
starting the equipment.
(2) Check conditions of all cables, wires, power lines, and all connections for tightness,
continuity, and proper setting.
(3) Check for electrical continuity of each cable connected across the "earth" terminal and
grounding bus.
(4) Check all component parts for damage caused in transit.
(5) Check all external connections for proper polarity and wiring.
(6) Check that the commercial power supply voltage is proper.
(7) Check that the functions of all protective circuits and relays are satisfactory.
(8) In performing manual checks and adjustments be sure to turn OFF power switch.
(9) Coaxial equipment is fragile. Handle with utmost care.
Beware of a drop hazard.
(10) Make sure that indoor feeder sections are correctly assembled.
(11) Before starting up transmitter, confirm that no coolant leakage has occurred as follow
procedure below.
Open the front panel of TX CONTROL, set the DIP SW (SW8-8) to "ON"(down).
And then pump and heat exchanger starts up without starting up transmitter.
