Receiving the radio signal:
When you insert the batteries, all existing symbols on the screen light up briefly and an
audible signal is emitted; the clock then goes into DCF receiving mode for 7 to 10 minutes
(the aerial
near the minutes display flashes).
If this automatic setting function fails, press the Wave button to initiate a manual search for
the DCF signal. Once the signal has been captured, the symbol is continuously displayed
and your clock is set to the correct time and date.
To ensure good reception: keep the clock away from electromagnetic sources (TV,
computer, microwave, etc.)
If no signal is received within 10 minutes, the search for a signal stops (the radio aerial
symbol is erased from the screen).
If you do not receive a signal, you can initiate a new search for the DCF signal manually by
pressing the "Wave" button (you should hear a beep), the aerial icon flashes.
If reception is bad, your clock will automatically initiate a new search at 2am the following
day (the time at which there is the least interference).
At 2am, the clock will automatically synchronise with the DCF signal to correct any
difference from the correct time. If this attempt at synchronisation fails (the radio aerial
symbol is erased from the screen), the system will automatically run synchronisation again
at the next full hour. This procedure is repeated automatically 5 times.
During receipt of the radio-controlled signal: to stop the search for a radio signal, press the
"Wave" button.
For your information:
When the radio aerial symbol flashes, this indicates that receipt of the DCF signal has
started.
If the radio aerial symbol is permanently displayed, this indicates that the DCF signal has
been successfully received.
We advise you to keep the clock at least 2.5 m from any source of interference such as
TVs or computer screens.
Radio reception is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (in cellars, for examples) and in
offices. In such extreme cases, place the system near the window.
When the clock is in signal receiving mode (aerial symbol flashing), no other function can
be accessed.
