Transporting Your Vehicle
If your vehicle needs to be transported, it
should be carried on a motorcycle trailer or
a flatbed truck or trailer that has a loading
ramp or lifting platform, and motorcycle
tie-down straps. Never try to tow your
vehicle with a wheel or wheels on the
ground.
NOTICE
• Towing your vehicle can cause serious damage to
the transmission.
• When tying down the vehicle for transportation,
do not use tie-downs or straps on the handlebars
or handgrips. Doing so may cause damage to the
steering system, heated grips and/or handlebar
switches.

Tie-down Method
1. Remove both sides of the cylinder head
side covers.

Secure the vehicle using a buckle or ratchet
style tie-down strap to the engine guards
and affix the other ends to an anchor point.

Make sure the tie-downs straps are tight
and the vehicle is secure.

Remove both left and right saddlebag
guard covers by removing the clips to
expose the saddlebag guards.
4.
Secure the vehicle using a buckle or ratchet
style tie-down strap to the saddlebag
guards and affix the other ends to an
anchor point.

Make sure the tie-downs straps are tight
and the vehicle is secure.
