4. Installation This chapter is provided for qualified personnel to install the CXPS-48-500, which shall be mounted in a clean and dry environment. Maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C. 4.1 Safety Precautions WARNING! Hazardous voltages are present at the input of power systems. The DC output from the rectifiers is classified as hazardous voltage and has a high short circuit current capacity that may cause severe burns and electrical arcing.

4.4 Battery Installation This system is designed for two 48 Vdc battery strings using 12 V 12.7 Ah batteries. 5. Maintenance Although very little maintenance is required with Alpha systems, routine checks and adjustments are recom- mended to ensure optimum system performance. Qualified service personnel should do the repairs. The following table lists a few maintenance procedures for this system. These procedures should be performed at least once a year.
