Note：CD-ROM with the management Utility could help you to manager all of the HP-8501 in the LAN. The Utility is not necessary when you use the internet via HP-8501. If you need to know the function of Utility , you can study the manual in the CD-ROM. - Page 4 Application: Please setup your HP-8501 as the following map . One HP-8501 connect with ADSL modem or IP share . The other HP-8501( You can use another device which supports powerline) connect with your PC .
- Page 5 If other utilities are installed, uninstall them and restart before installing this software. To install, insert the HP-8501’s CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive. The Setup utility shall run automatically. Alternatively this can also be done manually by double clicking the setup.exe file on the CD.

To set the Password of the device (required when creating a secured private network), first select the device by clicking on its name in the lower panel and then click on the ‘Enter Password’ button .A dialog box will appear as shown in Figure 2 for you to type the password.

If a device is not found, the user will be prompted and instructions to this problem will be shown, too.
