Need help?
Do you have a question about the TR1004 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
remote does not turn on
The Durablow TR1004 remote may not turn on due to the following reasons:
1. Battery Issues – Ensure the batteries are installed correctly. If one battery is inserted backward, the system will not work. Also, check that the battery output is at least 2.5 volts for the transmitter and 5.2 volts for the receiver box.
2. Receiver Communication – Make sure the transmitter is properly communicating with the receiver.
3. Fireplace System Issues – Problems may also be caused by the fireplace itself. Verify that all wires are properly connected, the valve is functioning correctly, and the gas tank or pipes are in good condition.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, further troubleshooting of the fireplace system may be needed.

how to change the thermostat on/off temperatures
To change the on/off temperatures on a Durablow TR1004 thermostat:
1. Press the MODE button on the transmitter to switch to THERMO mode.
2. Set the SET temperature at least 2°F (1°C) above the displayed ROOM temperature on the LCD screen. The system flame and main gas fire flame will turn ON.
3. Set the SET temperature at least 2°F (1°C) below the ROOM temperature. The system flame and main gas fire flame will turn OFF in seconds.
4. The system will continue cycling ON and OFF thermostatically based on this 2°F (1°C) differential, which is a factory setting and cannot be changed.
