Solar System

The Interstate 24X is equipped with 300 watts of
solar, a charge controller, and display Ensuring the
panels are clean and not shaded by trees or other
interference, will promote maximum solar charging
The charge controller gathers energy from the solar
panels to charge the house batteries, helping to
maintain battery health and extending battery life
The touring coach is also equipped with a dedicated
solar panel and charge controller to help keep the
chassis battery charged The solar panel and charge
controller will not charge the chassis battery if it has
fallen below 115 volts, or if the chassis battery has
been damaged
NOTE
The chassis solar panel and charge controller are
designed to maintain the chassis battery and help
prevent it from depleting; they are not designed
to charge a dead battery. If the chassis battery is
below 11.5 volts it will need to be charged by other
means.

Smart Shunt

The touring coach is equipped with a Smart Shunt,
used to determine the state of charge (SOC) of the
house batteries SOC is a more accurate means of
determining the percentage left of the lithium batteries
The shunt is located under the curbside seat, near the
inverter/charger The Smart Shunt and it's associated
VictronConnect app, allows for the monitoring of
the house batteries from a connected device The
VictronConnect app is free to download, and is
available for Apple and Android devices
The Interstate 24X also includes 2 exterior solar ports
These ports run through the same solar controller as
the roof mounted solar panels, see Section 6 - Exterior
for more information
Refer to Section 9 - Maintenance for solar panel wiring
diagrams and information
