Customizing the touchpad

Sony Notebook Setup lets you customize your touchpad, such as enable or
disable the touchpad. You can also open the Mouse Properties dialog box, which
enables you to set your touchpad and mouse preferences, such as changing
pointers, enabling or disabling the tapping feature, clicking both buttons
simultaneously, and adjusting the touchpad speed.
To disable the touchpad

Click Start on the Windows® taskbar, and point to All Programs.

Point to Sony Notebook Setup, and click Sony Notebook Setup in the
submenu. The Sony Notebook Setup dialog box appears.

Click the Touchpad tab, and select Disable Touchpad.

Click Apply.

Press Enter to close the window.

Description
Slide one finger on the touchpad to place the pointer on an
item or object.
Press the left button once.
Press the left button twice.
Press the right button once. In many applications, this action
displays a shortcut menu of context-sensitive choices.
Slide one finger while pressing the left button.
Move your finger along the right edge of the touchpad to
scroll vertically. Move your finger along the bottom to scroll
horizontally. (The scroll function is available only with
programs that support a touchpad scroll feature.)
