Before you open the computer cover, turn off the computer and wait several minutes until the computer is
cool.
Replacement procedure
1. Turn off the computer and remove all connected devices.
2. Disconnect the computer from ac power and all connected cables.
3. Unlock any locking device that secures the computer cover.
4. Remove the vertical stand, if any. See "Vertical stand" on page 58.
5. Remove the VESA mount bracket, if any. See "VESA mount bracket" on page 60.
6. Remove the external optical drive box and external optical drive, if any. See "External optical drive box
and external optical drive" on page 60.
7. Remove the power adapter bracket, if any. See "Power adapter bracket" on page 62.
8. Remove the dust shield, if any. See "Dust shield" on page 65.
9. Remove the rear Wi-Fi antenna, if any. See "Rear Wi-Fi antenna" on page 66.
10. Remove the computer cover.
11. Install the computer cover.
