This feature allows you to use the phone as a
remote controller for various devices, such as a
television, DVD player, or setup box. You can also
send or receive data to or from IrDA-compatible
phones or other devices via the infrared port.
Note: You can quickly access this menu by pressing
the Down key in Standby mode.
Remote control
Using this menu, you can set the phone to act as a
remote controller. You can also quickly access this
menu by pressing and holding the Down key in
Standby mode.
Tips for using your phone as a remote
controller
• The IrDA ports on both devices must be facing
each other within an appropriate range.
• Be sure to allow a short interval between key
presses to allow for better recognition by the
device.
• If your phone does not control the device
properly, set up the remote control function again
with a different number.
• The remote control function may not work,
depending on the type or version of your device.
• If a device has multiple functions, e.g., a VCR/
DVD combo, the remote controller may not
control both device functions.
