7.4 Using HDR

When shooting portraits against a bright background, use the HDR (High Dynamic Range) scene
to capture your subjects clearly. HDR brings out the details of both the highlights and shadows,
even in high contrast lighting.

7.6 Camera and video settings

Before you take a photo or record a video, customise your camera settings.

GPS location: Attach a GPS location tag to the photo.
Picture size: Select from various standard sizes for your picture.
Select ISO: An ISO value indicates the light sensitivity of your camera's imaging sensor. The
parameter is measured in the equivalent of a film camera: low ISO values are used for shooting
static or bright objects; high ISO values are used for shooting rapidly-moving or poorly-lit
objects.
Exposure: This determines how much light the camera's sensor receives. For lowlight situations,
use a higher exposure.
White balance: Select an appropriate white balance, so images have a true-to-life colour range.
The settings are designed for specific lighting situations. These settings are similar to the heat
range for white-balance exposure in professional cameras.
Colour Effect: Select among various photo effects to suit your needs.
Scene mode: Select your desired scene mode.
Face detection: Set the ideal exposure and clarity of faces.
