The Outdoor Water Solutions 7.0 Linear Diaphragm Electric Aerator is designed to help keep
your pond or water feature clean and healthy year around. We hope you enjoy your Aeration
system for many years to come.

Installation and Use Instructions:

Attach your poly tubing to the hose barb coming out of the electric aerator and run the airline to
the edge of your pond. Connect your 2, 3 or 4-way selector valve and your weighted airline. Run
your weighted airline out into the pond and connect your diffusers. We recommend using a hose
clamp wherever you connect weighted airline to a fitting. This would include where it is
connected to the selector valve and also where it connects to the diffuser.
Bury your airline a minimum of 3" below the surface to prevent it from being damaged by
equipment or livestock. You can mount your selector valve to a small post or better yet, enclose
it and bury it in an Irrigation control box.
If you're using air stone(s), we recommend that you put each one into a rubber or plastic bucket to
help protect it from the mud and debris common in the bottom of most ponds. A 4-6" layer of
small rock, sand or even concrete put into the bottom of the bucket can help weigh the bucket
down so it sits on the bottom. If using a rubber membrane diffuser without a base, then we
recommend placing it in a bucket as well. If your rubber membrane diffuser has a base, then you
do not need to put it inside of a bucket.
We also suggest installing the diffusers into the deeper areas of your pond to ensure complete
circulation of your water. The exception to this would be if you're wanting to keep the water
open for watering livestock in the winter, then you can put the stone closer to the shoreline (or
move it there in the fall).
Note: This Aerator is weather resistant, however we advise you to shelter the unit from rain,
snow, sleet, etc.. as direct contact with the elements will shorten the life span of the unit. Outdoor
Water Solutions manufactures a powder coated steel cabinet (EAU0199) with circulating fans and
a lock that can protect any of the LD aerators from the weather.
Note: We recommend turning your electric aerator on for a few hours the first day, then
increasing the time by a couple of hours each day until it is running continuously. On rare
occasions, you can have a pond "turnover" if you turn aeration on continuously in a pond not
previously aerated. This means the oxygen deprived water in the bottom of the pond rises to the
top and your fish cannot survive due to the low oxygen conditions. Doing this over the course of
3-4 days can prevent any potential issues.
