BEFORE FIRST USE

Perform the water test before using the kettle for
the first time or if the kettle has not been used for a
while . The water test removes particles and makes
sure the kettle is working properly .

Water Test
1 . Remove all packaging from the kettle,
including any temporary labels and stickers .
2 .
Completely unravel the power cord, and place
the power base on a flat, level surface .
3 . With the kettle off the power base, press the
lid release button to open the lid .
4 . Fill the kettle with water to the "MAX" line on
the water gauge .
5 . Release the lid release button to close the lid .
6 .
Place the kettle on the power base .
7 . Plug the power cord into a power oulet
(120 VAC) .
8 . Press the On/Off switch to turn the kettle on .
The indicator light turns on and the water
starts heating .
The kettle automatically turns off once it has
finished boiling the water .
9 . Discard the water from the kettle .
10 .
Repeat Steps 3–9 at least two times to clear
the kettle of any tiny particles .
