l) Effects
The device is equipped with a SCRATCH, a BRAKE and a REVERSE effect.
Scratch effect
• Press the VINYL button (16) to switch on the effect. The button lights up.
• Turn the JOG wheel to scratch like on a record player.
• Press the VINYL button (16) again to switch off the effect.
Brake effect
• Press the BRAKE button (17) to switch on the effect. The button lights up.
• When playback is started or stopped, this will not be sudden but with a delay. This effect simulates start-
up or stop of a record.
• This effect is similar to deceleration or slow start-up of a turntable in a record player.
Reverse Effect
• Press the REVERSE button (18) to reverse playback direction. The tracks are now played backwards. The
button lights up.
• Press the REVERSE button (18) to switch playback direction back to the normal direction.
m) SINGLE/CONTINUE Playback
Use the button SGL/CNT (23) to switch the player between single track playback (SINGLE) and continuous
track playback (CONTINUE):
SINGLE:
The device switches to pause mode after each track that is played.
CONTINUE: The device plays all tracks and then switches to pause mode.
n) TIME Function
Use the TIME (24) button to switch between the different play times display options (elapsed track time >
total remaining time > remaining track time) on the display.
• Keep pressing the TIME button (24) until the desired time display appears.
The total remaining time is only displayed for audio CDs. With MP3 files, the total playing time is
not displayed.
