    Record Your Key Number A code number is stamped on the number plate that came with the keys to your Hyundai. This key number plate should not be left with the keys but kept in a safe place, not in the vehicle. The key number should also be recorded in a place where it can be found in an emergency.

    ADVANCED SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT (AIRBAG) SYSTEM (SRS) B240A01E-AAT Driver's Airbag Your Hyundai is equipped with an Advanced Supplemental Restraint (Airbag) System. The indications of the system's presence are the letters "SRS AIRBAG" embossed on the airbag pad cover in the steering wheel and the passenger's side front panel pad above the glove box.
  • Page 44 Additionally, the airbags will only de- ploy once. Thus, seat belts must be worn at all times. FEATURES OF YOUR HYUNDAI WARNING: o Front airbags are not intended to deploy in side-impact, rear-impact or rollover crashes.
  • Page 45 If the airbags deploy, they must be re- placed by an authorized Hyundai dealer. o Do not tamper with or disconnect SRS wiring, or other components of the SRS system.

  • Page 50 The SRS is virtually maintenance free and there are no parts you can safely service by yourself. The entire SRS system must be inspected by an authorized Hyundai dealer 10 years after the date that the vehicle was manufactured.
