DEVICE CLEANING

WARNING
Do not use chemically active detergents to
clean the device.
1 Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. If
necessary, the cloth can be slightly damp-
ened.
2 If any dirt gets on the infrared sensor, the
readings may differ from the actual ones, as
this affects the measurement (usually the
readings are too low). To eliminate this prob-
lem, it is enough to wipe the infrared sensor
with a soft lint-free cloth (or cotton swab)
moistened with disinfectant solution. After
the cleaning procedure, the infrared sensor
lens surface should be crystal clear. As the
lens surface gets cool when the disinfect-
ant solution evaporates, the thermometer
should be left for several minutes at room
temperature before use after cleaning.
3 Leave the device to air dry at room temper-
ature.
4 Store the thermometer in a dry, clean place
in accordance with the operating conditions.
