3.1 InFrareD BanknoTe properTIeS

Infrared properties of genuine banknotes can easily be recognised. When the Safescan 235 detects a counterfeit
banknote, the entire banknote will in turn be displayed on the LCD screen. When a genuine banknote passes the
Safscan 235, only certain parts of the banknote will appear on the the LCD screen (other parts of the banknote will be
