NOTICE:
A loose fuel filler cap may cause the
OBD-II Malfunction Indicator Light
(
) light in the instrument panel to
CHECK
illuminate unnecessarily. Always
ensure that the fuel filler cap is tight.
The fuel filler neck is designed to
prevent filling the fuel tank with
anything but unleaded fuel.
NOTICE:
If the fuel filler cap requires
replacement, use only a genuine Kia
cap or the equivalent specified for
your vehicle. An incorrect fuel filler
cap can result in a serious malfunction
of the fuel system or emission control
system. Correct replacement of the
cap is available at Authorized Kia
Dealers.
If the fuel filler lid will not open in cold
weather because the area around it is
frozen, push or lightly tap the lid.
NOTICE:
Do not spill fuel on the exterior
surfaces of the vehicle. Any type of
fuel on painted surfaces may damage
the paint and can be a cause of vehicle
fire.
