2. Stepped cup bushings accurately maintain cup alignment while pressing. They are also available as spare parts
as DR-03520.
3. Before using cup bushings, insert bushing into cup. If bushing gets stuck or is a tight fit, do not use cup
bushings to press headset cups into frame. Just press them using top press plate and sliding press plate. In
that case, we recommend to press one cup at a time to ensure perfect alignment.
Aluminum headset cups must be installed with care as pressure may damage the outer rim of the cups. Do not
use our stepped bushings with pre-installed cup bearing cartridges such as Chris King headsets.
Assemble DR-03500 and headset parts (see drawing n°1).
4. Turn handles clockwise slowly and check out alignment of cups as they enter head tube.
5. To remove DR-03500, turn handles in a counterclockwise direction and press lever of sliding press plate.
Pressing bearing cups into one-piece bottom bracket shell
1. Choose the appropriate set of 2 Nylon rings according to the standard of bearing cups to be installed i.e. PE-

2. Then assemble Nylon rings and bearing cups onto threaded shaft and slide press plate to the highest notch on
threaded shaft (see drawing n°2). These 3 sets of Nylon rings can be used with and without step bushings
installed on DR-03500.
3. Turn handles in a clockwise direction and press bearing cups until fully seated into BB shell.
