     The ZEUS Z3-HE4K-01 is a compact H.264 encoder and decoder that supports HD resolutions up to 2160p at 30 frames per second (4K Ultra HD). Video from HDMI can be streamed via UDP or RTP or to be saved to a .ts file through USB or SATA2.

    6.0 GETTING STARTED AND RUNNING THE ENCODER This section gives step-by-step instructions on using the Z3-HE4K-01 to stream 2160p video to VLC media player running on your PC. In addition to the Z3-HE4K-01, a 4K video source with HDMI output and a PC are required.

    The following steps detail decode of previously encoded content recorded to a USB drive. If you have one Z3-HE4K-01 unit, see Section 9.5 for more information on creating a suitable USB drive.     (4) Check if the encoder has already auto-started (the encoder will auto-start if it senses a valid input and 20 seconds have elapsed since the Z3-HE4K-01 came up). If it has auto-started, click on “stop.” The status will then change to “STOPPED.”...
  • Page 34 (8) Make sure the left status LED has stopped blinking to indicate the encoder has stopped. Wait at least one second before removing the USB drive. (9) Remove the USB drive from the Z3-HE4K-01 and connect to a PC. *Note: The PC should be at least a quadcore or 8-core PC.

    If you are using a remote control protocol compatible camera as a video source, you will also need a USB cable to connect the camera directly to the Z3-HE4K-01 as well as a Windows 7 PC with Com2TCP and your camera controller software downloaded.
