To reduce the risk of fi re, injury or electrical shock
along with extending the life of your electrical
appliances, please read and follow all of the
information in this manual before using and save it for
future reference.
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should be always followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water
or other liquid.
3. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts or before cleaning.
4. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use. Use only coffee beans in this
appliance.
5. Do not use if there is any visible damage to the appliance or to the power cord.
6. A short cord is provided to reduce the accidents. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the
table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
7. Any servicing other than cleaning or user maintenance should be performed by an
authorized service representative. If the supply cord is damaged. It must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualifi ed person in order to avoid a hazard.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
9. Keep the appliance and the cord out of reach of children. This appliance is for adult use
only and should not be operated or handled by children.
10. Children should be supervised at all times when near the appliance and particularly
when the appliance is in use.
