The following additional fittings can be mounted on the outlet pressure side of the EMD 3100
pressure regulator:
Control valve MVR-A3100, flame arresters FS 400, volumeter MM 400, manometer, screw
connections, hose nozzles, screw plugs. The manometer is fitted in the factory with the
measuring range conforming to the outlet pressure range of the pressure reducer.
Normally, the pressure regulator is already assembled with the additional fittings you request
before it leaves the factory. However, retrofitting or modification is possible with simple tools at
any time. There are three mounting positions for mounting Outlet-side additional fittings. These
are on the periphery of the pressure reducer above, right and below and at an angle of 90° to
each other.
5.3.1. MOUNTING ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
The mounting of additional equipment is different for equipment with a fixed mounting position
EN
manometer, flowmeter and control valve and those without a fixed mounting position (flame
trap, tube fitting and hose nozzle).
In principle, additional equipment can be mounted at any of the three mounting positions. The
manometer is normally fitted on the top, the control valve usually on the right (or below) and
the volumeter on the right. The tube fitting, the flame trap and the hose nozzle are usually fitted
below. The unused gas outlet holes must first be closed up with a screw plug G 1/4" ES.
The following tools are needed for mounting the various additional fittings: Open-end wrench:
SW 14, SW 19, SW 22, Hexagon socket head wrench: SW 7
NOTE!
For the correct positioning of additional equipment as number of seals in different strenght
is necessary.

5.3.2. FITTING THE TUBE FITTING OR HOSE NOZZLE
Seal G 1/4": 11,2 x 5,5 x 1,5 mm.
Remove the dummy threaded joint on the intended mounting point of the pressure regulator.
The tube fitting or hose nozzle is usually fitted underneath.
Insert the seal into the intended connection on the pressure reducer and screw the tube fitting
or hose nozzle by hand until tight.
Tighten the tube fitting or the hose nozzle using the open-end wrench (approx. ¼ revolution).
Seal the free connections of the pressure reducer with a seal and a G 1/4" threaded plug so
that they are gas-tight.
