Ariens Dealers will provide any service or adjustments
which may be required to keep your unit operating at
peak efficiency. Should engine service be required,
contact an Ariens dealer or an authorized engine
manufacturer's service center.

CHECK FASTENERS
Be certain that all hardware is tightened to the proper
torque. Pay special attention to mower blades, guards
and safety shields.
GENERAL LUBRICATION
Check lubricant level in gearbox every 25 hours and at
the beginning of season.
To check and fill:
1. Remove cover on top of gearbox.
2. Check that lubrication is level with center line of
input shaft. Fill if necessary.
3. Replace cover.
Lubricate all lube fittings and pivot points at the
beginning of each season and every 25 hours (Figure
7).
IMPORTANT: Wipe each fitting clean before and after
lubrication.
Apply Stens Mix Hi-Temp Grease or equivalent to the
lube fittings. Order P/N: 00036800 - three pack of 3 oz.
cartridges.

CHECK MOWER BLADES
Check mower blades for wear every 25 hours of
operation. Ensure blade hardware is tightened to 50 -
60 ft. lbs. (68-81 Nm) of torque. See Service and
Adjustments to sharpen blades.
CHECK DECK BELT
Check deck belt every 100 hours and every season.
Replace if worn or deteriorated. Replace belts to
accommodate belt stretch and wear in the traction
drive or mower drive. Refer to Service and Adjustments
for procedures.
