his document updates information contained in the
Dell WorkStation 400 Systems User's Guides.
The Dell WorkStation 400 system is now available with
® ®
an Intel Pentium II microprocessor with MMX
nology, an internal speed of 333 megahertz (MHz), and
an external speed of 66 MHz.
NOTE: The system must have basic input/output system
(BIOS) A03 or higher to use the 333-MHz microproces-
sor. A BIOS upgrade diskette and instructions are
included with microprocessor upgrade kits.
This new Dell WorkStation 400 system has the same fea-
tures as other Dell WorkStation 400 systems, except for
the microprocessor's internal speed and the settings for
the microprocessor speed jumpers on the system board.
The following figure shows location and configuration of
the microprocessor's jumpers on the system board
NOTE: On some system boards the 333-MHz speed
jumper is labeled RSVD1.
