Closing the Computer Cover

Check all cable connections, especially those that might have come
1
loose during your work. Fold cables out of the way so that they do not
catch on the computer cover. Make sure cables are not routed over the
drive cage—they will prevent the cover from closing properly.
Check to see that no tools or extra parts (including screws) are left
2
inside the computer.
On the small mini-tower computer, close the cover to a 45-degree
3
angle and connect the drive data cables to the system board.
Close the computer cover by pivoting the cover down toward the back
4
of the computer and into position. Make sure that the securing
buttons click into place.
Replace the padlock, if required.
5
NOTE:
After you open and close the cover, the chassis intrusion detector
causes the following message to be displayed at the next computer start-
up:
ALERT! Cover was previously removed.
See
"Resetting the Chassis Intrusion
Detector" for instructions.
