UNFOLDING AND ADJUSTING HANDLE ASSEMBLY
See figure 2-4
WARNING: Folding or unfolding the handle improperly
can damage the cables, causing an unsafe operating
condition.
Do not damage the cables when folding or
unfolding the handle.
If a cable is damaged, contact an Authorized
Service Dealer.
WARNING: Do not attempt to start the mower until the
handle has been locked at one of the two preset
operating positions.
LOCKED STORAGE POSITION: Your mower is
shipped with the handle in the compact, locked position.

Hold the handle (1) up with one hand. Press and hold
the quick-adjust lever (2) with the other hand to release
the handle from the locked storage position. Begin to lift
the handle (1) from its folded position, and then release
the lever. Gently pivot the handle upward until you hear
and feel the lock pin engage in position.
OPERATING POSITIONS
NOTE: The motor cannot be
started unless:
a. the handle is locked into
one of the operating
positions,
b. the upper handle is fully
extended.
Upper Operating Position:
Lift the handle with one hand.
Gently pivot the handle backward until you hear
and feel the lock pin engage in the upper Operating
position. Taller users may prefer this position.

Lower Operating Position:
Hold the handle with one hand. Press and hold the
quick-adjust lever with the other hand to release the
handle from the upper operating position.
Begin to lower the handle, and then release the
lever. Gently pivot the handle downward until you
hear and feel the lock pin engage in the lower
Operating position.
Once the mower is set in one of the Operating
Positions,
Open the handle locking clamps (1).
Fully extend the upper handle (2).
Securely close the handle locking clamps (1).
