5. For safe operation
WARNING
Bear in mind that:
The exhaust fumes from the engine are
hot and may contain sparks which can
start a fire. Never start the machine
indoors or near combustible material!

6. Set up

■ CONNECTING SWITCH WIRES
• Connect the switch wires between the
engine and the main unit. Pair the wires
of the same color.
■ INSTALLING HANDLE
• Mount the loop handle onto the shaft.

Note that the loop handle must be fitted
between the arrows on the shaft.
• Fit the clamp and screw. Do not
overtighten.
• Now adjust the trimmer to give a
comfortable working position. Tighten
the bolt. (SE1)
When fitting the cutting attachment it
is extremely important that the raised
section on the drive disc/ support
flange engages correctly in the center
hole of the cutting attachment. If the
cutting attachment is fitted incorrectly
it can result in serious and/or fatal
personal injury.
WARNING! Under no circumstances
may the edge cutter blade be used
without the blade guard fitted.
■ INSTALLING BLADE(SE2)
1. Fit the drive disk on the outgoing shaft.
Make sure that the edge that fits in the
hole of the blade is facing outward.

2. Block the blade rotation by inserting the
locking pin in the hole behind the blade
guard engaging it in the corresponding
hole in the drive disk.
3. Fit the blade on the drive disk.
4. Fit the support flange. The support

flange must be fitted with its outer edge

hard up against the blade.

5. Fit the locking nut. CAUTION! The
locking nut has a left-hand thread.
Tighten the locking nut to a torque of
15-20 N.m.
6. Remove the locking pin.
(1) Locking nut (Left-handed)
Tightning Torque:
130~150in-lbs (15~20N.m.)
(2) Support flange
(3) Blade
(4) Drive disk
(5) Locking pin

TIGHTENING TORQUE:
7.7~30.9 in-lbs
(2.0~3.5 N.m.)
