    • The Shower/Commode chair is designed to accommodate most individuals up to 350 lbs. (158kg). • The expected service life of a 922 product is 3 years under normal use conditions. Note: this may vary based on frequency of use. • ActiveAid products are specifically designed to be used with ActiveAid accessories and options. Unless otherwise noted, accessories and options from other manufacturers have not been tested by ActiveAid and are not recommended for use with ActiveAid products. • Product modifications made without express written consent (including but not limited to, modification through the use of unauthorized parts or attachments) are not recommended and will void the product warranty.
  • Page 5 This will ensure the product is assembled properly and used in the most beneficial manner. The ActiveAid 922 should only be used under the guidance of a physician or therapist. Consult your physician or therapist for proper transfer techniques.

    Assembly Tools required for setup: 3/4" wrench, 3/4" socket wrench, 7/16" wrench, #10 metric wrench, 5/32" hex key 1. Remove all parts from the shipping container(s). Remove all packing material from the parts. Recycle shipping and packing materials in accordance with the recycling codes of your location. Fold Frame Pull Pin Move the side frames apart and pull forward on the Fold Frame Pull Pin until the fold frame locks into place 2. Place the front seat snap brackets onto the front seat support tubes and than place rear seat snap brackets onto the rear seat support tubes.
  • Page 7 4. Insert the back into the frame. 5. Using the self-locking nut and screw that were removed in step 3, insert them and tighten securely using a wrench and hex key to tighten the back into place. 6. If the flip-up armrests were ordered, depress the spring button and insert into the bracket on the back frame.
  • Page 8 7. Make sure the push pin is set as shown. 8. Lower arm down and insert the front of the arm into the receiver on the front of the seat frame and push down into place. 9. Pivot the arm lock lever to lock armrest into place.
  • Page 9 10. If the height-adjustable armrests were ordered, remove the two hex bolts in the clamp of the armrest clamp assembly. 11. Place armrest and armrest clamp onto the back frame as shown. Insert the hex bolt and hand start two bolts into the clamp. 12. Place armrest and armrest clamp 8 1/4" from the top of the frame and tighten bolts securely. Repeat steps 6-12 for the other armrest.
  • Page 10 13. If swing-away adjustable laterals were ordered, remove the bolts from the lateral assembly. 14. Place lateral clamp and lateral assembly onto the back frame above the armrest assembly. Place clamp bracket into place and hand start each bolt. 15. Tighten bolts securely. Repeat steps for other side, if ordered.
  • Page 11 16. If the leg rests were ordered, insert the ends (with the pin) into the receiver of the front support. Push down to secure the leg rest into the front support. Repeat for second leg rest, if ordered. 17. Insert pan hanger under the seat. Pan Hanger Hook Placement 18. Place pan onto pan hanger.

    Usage Seat Remove by lifting one corner at a time or lift off one side only and pivot the seat up from the opposite side. Folding Frame Unfold Move the side frames apart, Pull forward on the Fold Frame Pull Pin until the fold frame locks into place. Fold Push in on the Fold Frame Pull Pin and move the two side frames together until the frame is completely collapsed. Note: The pan hanger, commode pan and seat may be removed prior to folding. The back and flip back style arms must also be removed prior to folding and placed into carry case. Disassembly for Storage or Transportation.
  • Page 13 Usage (cont.) Casters Locking casters: To lock casters (option), push down on the front of the caster brake lever. To release caster brake, push down on the rear of the caster brake. Removing Casters: Loosen then remove the self-locking nut and machine screw that are in the chair frame where the casters will be inserted. Insert caster so that it is flush with the frame. Re-insert the screw through the holes in the chair frame and caster stem. Note: Screw head should be to the outside of the frame and the nut to the inside. Hand start the nut onto the end of the screw Use a wrench and hex key to tighten the casters into place. Repeat for second caster.

    • Upholstery pads may be cleaned with a non-abrasive, non-alcohol-based soap or sanitized using a bleach dilution of up to 1:10. Note, many anti-bacterial and disinfectant products contain alcohol and should not be used on the upholstery, due to the drying effect of the alcohol. Choose a non-alcohol-based sanitizer. Germicidal wipes that are rated to kill C-difficile spores may be used on the upholstery and the epoxy coated stainless steel. • Urethane Coated Fabrics may be cleaned with a sponge or damp cloth to wipe the surface clean with warm water. As needed, they may be hand washed using warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Line dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Parts Replacement When asking your supplier to order replacement parts, please specify the serial number of the 922 unit. Your Supplier will contact ActiveAid Customer Service to obtain the necessary items for your specific unit.
