Button sewing
Buttons can be sewn on with the sewing machine. Buttons with 2 or 4 holes can be
attached.

Using the button sewing foot.
Move the drop feed lever to lower the feed
dogs.

Put the work under the foot and place the
button in desired position, then lower the foot.
Select the buttonhole sewing stitch and adjust
the stitch width according to the distance
between the two holes of the button.
Turn the handwheel to check that the needle
goes cleanly into the left and right holes of the
button.
For buttons with 4 holes, sew through the
front two holes first, push work forward and
then sew through the back two holes.
When you finish the work, move the drop feed
lever to raise the feed dogs.
