Timer recording options
Select the items and change the settings.

You can select Category/AV with the red button.

You can select "Date" or "Weekly" by pressing the
green button.
Auto Renewal Recording
(Only daily/weekly/series timer recording)
The unit will record the new programme over the
old one.
Press the yellow button.
"Renew : ON" is displayed.
Start/Stop
Press and hold [3, 4] to alter in 15-minute
increments.
Mode/Conv.
Refer to "To change the recording (conversion)
mode" (
23).
Subtitles
You can choose whether or not to record the
subtitle at conversion.
(Only when item other than "OFF" is selected in
"Conv.")
Title Name
1 Select "Title Name", then press [OK].

[For_Australia] To use Guide Link
You can choose whether or not to use the Guide
Link function by pressing the blue button.

next programme.

programme to record.
• Switch the programme with [2, 1].

Press the yellow button.

Go to step 3 on page 26, "Manually
programming timer recording".
Notes on timer recording
• When you programme successive timer
recordings to start, about last 1 minute of earlier
programme will not be recorded.
• Timer recording will not start while:
- copying a title in high speed mode [with
finalising or creating Top Menu ([+RW])]
- copying a title in normal speed mode
- copying HD Video (AVCHD) from USB device
or SD card
- converting a title in "File Conversion" (Only
when "Now" is selected)
- copying video/photos/music files
- formatting
- finalising/creating Top Menu
• When "Pure Sound mode" is activated, timer
recording does not start during playback of
BD-Video, DVD-Video or music CD. (
• When recording except in DR mode, the audio
content etc. will be selected according to the
following settings:
- "Audio Type for Digital Broadcast" (
- [For_New_Zealand] "Multi Audio", "Subtitles" of
"Preferred Language" (
- [For_New_Zealand] "Audio Description" (
