Fitting Kit K1022W Use keys to remove covers. Use hex screwdriver to reverse adjusting screw 10 turns. Remove plastic clamp block by gripping bar leg with fingers and push firmly with thumbs until clamp block drops out behind leg.

Fitting Kit K1022W Select plastic internal block (from fitting kit) and insert into foot. Repeat for all legs. Permanent Mount Fitment Carefully select desired position for crossbars on vehicle roof. Adjust crossbar in or out to suit vehicle. Refer to the crossbar instructions for crossbar adjustment.

Fitting Kit K1022W Mark reference point on masking tape with a pen. Mark as shown. CAUTION: Maximum depth 7mm. Use 7mm drillstop over supplied 4.9mm drill bit. Drill two outside holes at marked positions.

Fitting Kit K1022W Remove tape. Vacuum and clean swarf from channel. Treat holes to prevent corrosion. Apply neutral cure silicon sealant in and around drilled holes.

Fitting Kit K1022W Install rivets through permanent mount blocks. Rivet into place. Fit plastic plugs to permanent mount blocks over rivet heads. Installed as shown. Assemble as shown.

Fitting Kit K1022W Select grubscrews and screw into the vehicle's fixed points. Do not over tighten. Repeat for all four positions. Fit nut to grubscrew. Fit rubber pads (supplied with fitting kit) to foot. Pad may vary in shape to that shown.

Fitting Kit K1022W It is important to put the pads in the correct position on the vehicle. Letters refer to the pad part numbers and position. Pad Part Number: A = 11-04-219 Place crossbar foot over grubscrews. Tighten the plastic knob.

Fitting Kit K1022W Maintenance Clean the car roof and surfaces of the product that will be in contact with the car roof. Follow the fitting instructions for fitting the product to your vehicle. Make sure all steps are carried out in order.

Fitting Kit K1022W Check and replace worn out or defective parts. Keep the product clean and maintained. Never drive into a car wash with the roof rack system fitted. Lubricate locks and adjusting screws at regular intervals. Remove the products from the vehicle when not in use.
