Instructions
STEP 1
• Thoroughly rinse the Aquatic Patio Pond
(Ex. 1).
STEP 2
• Place the patio pond in your desired
location (Ex. 2).
STEP 3
• Set the pump in the patio pond and feed
the electrical cord through the cord relief
in the corner (Ex. 3).
STEP 4
• Feed the fountain tubing through the
fountain hole in the corner and secure
the bamboo fountain in position (Ex. 4).
STEP 5
• Attach the hose to the outlet on the
water pump (Ex. 5).
STEP 6
• Fill the Aquatic Patio Pond with water
(Ex. 6).
TIP: If you are using a garden
hose to fill your Aquatic Patio
Pond, we recommend running the
hose for a few minutes to flush the
hose of any stagnant water.
STEP 7
• Plug the pump into a ground fault circuit
interrupter (GFCI) rated receptacle (Ex.
7).
STEP 8
• Use Pond Detoxifier (sold separately) or
allow the water to sit for 24 hours before
adding fish or plants (Ex. 8).

STEP 9
• Add plants to the pond (Ex. 9).
STEP 10
• If desired, a few small fish, such as
Ex. 1
goldfish or Rosy Reds, can be added for
color and movement (Ex. 10).

General Maintenance
The Aquascape Aquatic Patio Pond is simple and easy
to maintain. We recommend performing a weekly water
change, using a bucket or small clean container to remove

approximately 15% of the water. Slowly add detoxified tap
water to replace the removed water. If using a garden hose,
run the hose for a few minutes to remove stagnant water.
Note: topping off evaporated water does not count as a
water change.

Winterization
In areas subject to freezing temperatures, the Patio Pond
should be stored indoors or in a frost-free location.
