Reemplazo de la pila
Si se detecta un fallo en la pila, la unidad emitirá un pitido cada 30 segundos.
PRECAUCIÓN: LA ALARMA ESTÁ SELLADA Y LA CUBIERTA NO ES RETIRABLE.
Para reemplazar la pila primero debe retirar la alarma del soporte y abrir el compartimento
de la pila para acceder a ella directamente.
Después de instalar o cambiar la pila, vuelva a instalar la alarma. Pruebe la alarma mediante
el botón de prueba y compruebe que el LED rojo parpadea una vez cada 30 segundos.
Reemplace la pila con marcas de calidad.
PRECAUCIÓN: No pulse el botón de prueba/reset cuando instale las pilas. De lo
contrario, la unidad no funcionará.
Use solamente las pilas especificadas. Usar pilas diferentes o incorrectas puede
dañar el detector y la alarma. Una buena medida de seguridad sería cambiar la pila
una vez al año.
Mantenimiento general
Para mantener la CO + humo alarma en buenas condiciones, por favor siga estos sencillos
pasos:
- Verifique el funcionamiento de la alarma y de la luz LED presionando el botón de prueba
una vez a la semana. Retire la unidad del soporte de montaje y limpie la cubierta de la
alarma y orificios con un cepillo suave una vez al mes para eliminar el polvo y suciedad.
¡VUELVA A INSTALARLA INMEDIATAMENTE DESPUÉS DE LA LIMPIEZA Y LUEGO
PRUÉBELA CON EL BOTÓN DE PRUEBA/RESET!
• No utilice detergentes ni disolventes para limpiar la unidad. - Evite rociar ambientadores,
sprays para cabello u otros aerosoles cerca de la alarma CO.
• No pinte la unidad. La pintura sellará las rejillas de ventilación e interferirá con la
capacidad del sensor para detectar CO. Nunca intente desarmar la unidad o limpiar el
interior. Esto anulará la garantía.
ADVERTENCIA: Vuelva a instalar la alarma CO tan pronto como sea posible para asegurar
una protección continua.
Cuando utilice productos de limpieza para el hogar o productos químicos similares, el área
debe estar bien ventilada. Las siguientes sustancias pueden afectar el sensor de CO y
puede causar falsas lecturas por parte del sensor: metano, propano, isobutano, isopropanol,
acetato de etilo, dióxidos de sulfuro de hidrógeno y alcohol basado en productos, pinturas,
diluyentes, disolventes, adhesivos, aerosol de pelo, después del afeitado, perfumes y
algunos agentes de limpieza.

Síntomas de la intoxicación por CO
Los síntomas iniciales de intoxicación por monóxido de carbono son similares a una
gripe sin fiebre y pueden incluir mareos, fuertes dolores de cabeza, náuseas, vómitos y
desorientación. Todo el mundo es susceptible, pero los expertos coinciden en que los fetos,
mujeres embarazadas, ancianos y personas con problemas respiratorios o cardiacos son
especialmente vulnerables. Si experimentaron síntomas de intoxicación por monóxido
de carbono, busque atención médica inmediatamente. La intoxicación por CO puede
determinarse mediante una prueba de carboxihemoglobina.

FEATURES
• Backlit LCD screen.
• 85 decibel audible alarm.
• Permanent carbon monoxide sensor.
• Powered by 1 9V battery (included).
• The alarm will emit 4 short beeps when it detects carbon monoxide and will emit continuous
beeps when it detects smoke. The alarm will also beep continuously when it detects carbon
monoxide and smoke at the same time. The red LED will blink during alarm mode.
• A "beep" every 30 seconds indicates that the battery is low and needs to be replaced or that
the unit is malfunctioning.
• The test / reset button is used to test the electronics of the unit and verify correct operational
function.
• Green and red LED lights indicate normal operation and alarm status.
• The unit will beep and the red LED will blink once when powered on.
• The 3-digit LCD display (optional) indicates: "Err" on the display indicates that the unit is
malfunctioning. "Lb" on the LCD indicates that the battery is low and needs replacement.
"999 ppm" on the display indicates that the CO level is greater than 999 ppm. If the CO
leak is less than 999ppm but greater than 30ppm, it would show your actual concentration.
• The backlit LCD display will light up when the test button or alarm is pressed.
Green LED: The green LED flashes every 30 seconds to indicate the unit is operating
properly.
Red LED: When a dangerous level of carbon monoxide is detected and a potential fire is
detected, the red LED will flash and the alarm pattern will sound.
The carbon monoxide (CO) and smoke detector monitors the air to warn of the presence of
CO or a potential fire. The alarm will sound accompanied by a flashing red LED light when
high CO levels are present or potential fires are present.
CAUTION: This alarm will only indicate the presence of monoxide at the sensor.
Carbon monoxide gas may present at other area.

Installation Guide:
IMPORTANT: THIS ALARM MUST BE MOUNTED ON THE CEILING OR WALL. INSTALL
ONLY AS DETAILED!
A. Recommended Installation Locations:
We recommend the installation of a CO + Smoke Alarm in the following locations.
For maximum protection we suggest an alarm be installed on each level of a multilevel home
including every bedroom, hallways, finished attics and basements. Put alarm at both ends of
bedroom hallway or large room if hallway or room is more than 30ft.(9.1m) long. If you have
only one alarm, ensure it is placed in the hallway outside of the main sleeping area, or in the
main bedroom. Verify the alarm can be heard in all sleeping areas.
Locate an alarm in every room where someone sleeps with the door closed. The closed door
may prevent the alarm from waking the sleeper. Mounting the alarm on the ceiling in the
center of the room places it closest to all points in the room. Ceiling mounting is preferred
in ordinary residential construction. When mounting an alarm on the ceiling, locate it at a
minimum of 4"(10cm) from the side wall (see Diagram A). If installing the alarm on the wall,
at a minimum of 4"(10cm) and a maximum of 12"(30.5cm) below the ceiling (see Diagram).
B. Where Not to Install:
Do not install in garages, kitchens, furnace rooms or bathrooms! INSTALL AT LEAST
15 FEET AWAY FROM ANY FUEL BURNING APPLIANCE.
Do not install within 3ft(0.9m) of the following: The door to a kitchen, or a bathroom that
contains a rub or shower, forced air ducts used for heating or cooling, ceiling or whole house
ventilating fans, or other high air flow areas. Avoid excessively dusty, dirty or greasy areas.
Dust, grease or household chemicals contaminate the alarm's sensors, causing it to not
operate properly.
Place the alarm where drapes or other objects will not block the sensor. CO + Smoke
detector must be able to reach the sensors to accurately detect these conditions. Do not
install in peaks of vaulted ceiling, 'A' frame ceilings or gabled roofs. Keep out of damp and
humid areas.
Install at least one foot away from fluorescent lights, electronic noise may cause nuisance
alarms. Extreme temperatures will affect the sensitivity of the CO Alarm. Do not install in
