Questions and answers
I have two 20 lb propane tanks with standard sensors. I replaced the 2 old sensors with new ones and reset my app so I get the correct readings. I can’t get my remote tank sensor to work. Any suggestions. It was working right before I replaced the sensors on the tanks
1. Verify Proper Installation – Ensure the sensor is correctly mounted on the bottom of the propane tank.
2. Check Sync Status – Open the Mopeka Tank Check app and confirm the sensor appears in the app. If not, press and hold the SYNC button for up to 10 seconds to re-sync.
3. Ensure Compatibility – Confirm the tank is a steel or aluminum tank (with alternate mounting) and not a composite cylinder, as the sensor is not intended for composite tanks.
4. Inspect Battery – The sensor has a permanent, non-replaceable battery. If the battery is depleted, the sensor may no longer function.
5. Environmental Conditions – Ensure the sensor is used outdoors and within the operating temperature range of -40°C to 60°C.
6. Check for Interference – Reduce interference by increasing the distance from other electronic devices or relocating the receiving antenna.
7. Reinstall the Sensor – Remove the sensor, reposition it, and reinstall it on the tank to ensure proper contact.
8. Consult Support – If the issue persists, contact Mopeka support for further assistance.
