11.Removal of Heat Exchanger

Procedure
Step
Conduct pump-down
operation.

Remove bottom cover
located at lower part of
the unit and disconnect
two screws.

Push two positions at
lower part of the unit to
disengage bottom
frame hooks from
mounting plate. Lift the
unit slightly.

Remove insulation
tube, and disconnect
liquid pipe at the flare.
Disconnect gas pipe at

the flare.
Removal Procedure
Warning Be sure to wait 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies
before disassembling work.

Removal of Heat Exchanger
Points
Warning!
If gas leaks, repair the leak
location, then collect all
refrigerant from the unit.
Conduct vacuum drying, and
charge proper amount of
refrigerant.
Warning!
Do not mix any gas (including
air) other than the specified
refrigerant (R-22) into
refrigerating cycle.
(Mixing of air or other gas
causes abnormal
temperature rise in
(R2343)
refrigerating cycle, and this
results in pipe rupture or
personal injuries.)
Use two wrenches to
disconnect pipe.
Be careful not to scratch the
wall.

After pipes are
disconnected, close all pipe
openings with caps to
prevent dust and moisture
from entering pipes.
