1.0 INTRODUCTION This chapter, intended as an instruction to the installation, operation and maintenance of HS2510-N Hot Melt Applicator, sets out the safety rules to be observed for preventing risk to both personnel and the equipment. This risk prevention rules may be classified as follow: 1.
1.3 Precaution During Operation Do not put any item on the top of the machine body or use it as a ladder or stepping tool. When installing the hoses, avoid abrasions or twisting that could damage the cover and avoid bending them with a radius of under 150mm. Only the base of the hot melt applicator can be used while moving or lifting the machine.

temperature is warmed the internal liquor will expand because of the heat. When the temperature reaches preset value, the liquor will be transferred to the temperature controller through the pressure conduit, the spring (blade) inside is kicked off and cuts off the power, and the heater stops continuous heating.
CHAPTER 3 OPERATION INSTRUCTION 3.0 INTRODUCTION This chapter is to introduce the electric function of control panel, precautions before operation and operation steps of this hot melt applicator and how to load or change hot melt adhesive. 3.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS 1) Always wear the protective glasses, clothing and heat-resistant gloves to avoid being burned by hot surface of components or molten glue.

1) P.I.D. Temperature Controller This P.I.D. control unit is being used to control the temperature of the hot melt tank. When the power supply is turn on, the P.I.D. temperature control will turn on automatically. The indicator will show the internal temperature of the tank. (refer figure4.2) PID temperature controller is primarily used to control the temperature of the melting tank.

not calculate automatically and “AT” lamp remains OFF. “AL1”: alarm confirmation indicator When the practical temperature is more than the upper limit or less than the lower limit, the “AL1”indicator on the LCD will flicker continuously. Or when the practical temperature remains between the two values, the indicator will remain OFF.
2) Main Power Switch Put this “Main Power Switch” on “ON” position, then the indicator will light, to show the power of the applicator is on. 3)“START” button for motor power Press this “START” button to turn on the motor; when the temperature of the tank up to the setting point, the motor will start.
Page 23
3. Connect the air source to the regulator and adjust the air pressure to 5 ~ 6Kg/cm , if the air supply is below this range of air pressure detector (green indicator), the motor will stop for safety reason. 4.Connect the air source to the dispensing nozzle and adjust the air pressure to 2.5 ~ 4Kg/cm 5.Turn on the external power supply.
8. Put a container under the nozzle tip. 9.After all temperature are reaching the setpoints and the adhesive material in the tank entirely molten, press the “MOTOR SWITCH” to start the motor. Operate the dispensing gun and make the adhesive in the tank to flow out, and clean the impurities or bubbles along with the flowed adhesive.
Page 25
3.Check the tank level and add adhesive material as necessary. 4.Check the temperatures of all systems of the applicator to the required temperature and other recommended value. If not, refer to chapter3.2 to re-set the temperatures. 5.After all parts temperature reach the individual setting point and the adhesive material in the tank becomes molten, turn on the power of the motor.
3.4.2 DAILY SHUTDOWN 1. Put the “Main Power Switch” on the panel to “OFF” position, 2.Trigger the dispensing nozzle to relieve any trapped air pressure inside. 3.Relieve the air pressure of the main machine. 3.5 THE ADJUSTMENT OF GLUE AMOUNT 1.

2. When setting temperature is reached, start the nozzle assembly until the system air pressure is completely discharged. 3.Place a container under the joint between heating hose and manifold, and remove the heating hose with adjustable spanner. 4.Press “START” switch to start motor, and adjust the inverter to increase the speed of motor, extrude all hot melt material in the tank into the container below.
11.Refer to diagram to reassemble the clean filter, and properly dispose this filter into manifold then tighten it by spanner. Be careful of excessive force to avoid damage or being stripped to o-ring. 12. Turn on the motor to make hot melt adhesive inside the tank flow out until there is no impurities in the adhesive, and turn off the motor.
CHAPTER 5 TROUBLESHOOTING 5.0 INTRODUCTION This chapter introduces, when the HS2510-N hot melt applicator malfunctioned, how to solve troubles and how to prevent the problems occurring again, and help the customer to increase the efficient and lifetime of the applicator. Refer to Chapter 6, when troubles take place and need detailed information for servicing or replacing parts.
