3. OPERATING ADJUSTMENTS

Adjustment of the belt:
The wood lathe is equipped with mounted machine belt. Before putting the unit into operation is
necessary to verify and if necessary adjust the belt! For this purpose it is necessary to perform the
following actions:
1. Disconnect the device from the mains;
2. Unscrew the hexagon bolts with switch (see Fig. 1)
3. Press the belt with your hand to check the tense - must not exceed 1 cm. (See Figure 2)

SETTING THE SPEED

There are 4 speeds - 1100, 1600, 2300 and 3400 rpm./min. The diagram below illustrates the steps
that must be made to switch to a desired speed. To do so, move the belt in the prescribed manner:
The table below is specified scheme of work at different speeds:
Roughing off
1100 RPM
1. Before joining speed setting, turn off the appliance from the mains;
2. Open the protective cover of the belt;
3. Release the tension of the belt by screws (see Fig. Below)
General cutting Fine cutting
1600 RPM
2300 RPM
Finishing
3400 RPM
