SOFT RIDE FEATURE:
The soft ride feature was designed to diminish the stresses on the tractor, mounts, loader and operator
while transporting heavy loads to and from the field. The soft ride feature incorporates a pre-charged
nitrogen accumulator to act as a shock absorber similar to that of an automobile. While in operation the
loader may feel "squishy" or soft.
MOUNTING SOFT RIDE KIT
1. Mount the loader and plumbing kit. Relieve the lift cylinder pressure on the loader.
2. Locate the lift hose (bottom steel line) on the loader. Disconnect the hose. See in Fig. 1-1.
3. Install the run tee. Point the tee down.
4. Attach the accumulator block to the bracket. Secure with two 1/4" x 3" HH cap screws, lock washers
and nuts.
5. Attach the fittings (one on top and two on bottom of block). Install the accumulator. (See page 26 or
28)
6. Using three 3/8" x 1 3/4" HH cap screws, flat washers and hex lock nuts attach the accumulator bracket
to the mount of the loader .
7. Run hydraulic hose from accumulator block to the previously installed tee fitting (see line 3).
TIGHTEN ALL THE CONNECTIONS SECURELY!
8. Start the tractor. Actuate the loader to charge the hydraulic system. Add hydraulic fluid as required
using the recommended amount for your tractor.
WARNING:
Make sure that all pressure is relieved from the hydraulic system and
accumulator before removing for service. The manual valve must be opened to
relieve pressure from the accumulator. The manual valve then needs to be closed
before removing the accumulator. Failure to relieve pressure can cause injury.
