Analogue merge

XTBA Analogue Merge is a 1U 19" rack unit that will merge up to 24 channels of
0 to +10 volt analogue control and a DMX data stream into a single DMX512
output signal.
The XTBA Smart Merge A-D will allow older analogue equipment and custom-built
controllers to be added into any DMX512 installation.
The 24-channel analogue input block may be moved, via the three offset code
switches, to any position in the DMX output stream, allowing for analogue control
of any channel. The number of analogue channels used may be decreased from
24 down to1 via the two length code switches. The length function is useful if the
unit is set to overwrite using internal SW2 switch so unused analogue channels do
not overwrite DMX channels.
DISPLAYS
System Run - the red LED will flash when the unit is powered up and running.
DMX In – the green LEDwill be lit when DMX512 is present on the input. The LED
will flash if the data is not DMX or is corrupted data.
Ch Full – the green LED will be lit when any channel on the analogue input is at
100%. This allows the analogue input to be set up to ensure maximum control. If
any input is greater than 10 volt, the LED will flash.
Block Error – the yellow LED will be lit if the block length switch setting is incorrect,
e.g. over 24 channels or channels are being lost e.g. beyond the 512 limit.
INTERNAL SETTINGS – factory setting is SW1 to SW3 off.
SW1 OFF = Hold last frame - in the event of DMX data loss, the last output will be
retransmitted.
SW1 ON = Release last frame – in the event of data loss the output will go to zero
SW2 OFF = Highest takes precedent - compares the DMX to the analogue and
outputs the higher value.
SW2 ON = Overwrite - the analogue input level will replace any DMX input value.
SW3 ON = Input filtering for noisy inputs.
SW3 OFF = Input filtering off.
Pin Out
D Shell Pin 1 - Channel 1 In
D Shell Pin 24 - Channel 24 In
