- Page 2 Grommets prevent backboard from cracking while tightening rim bolts! DO NOT PROCEED if rim grommets are missing, call First Team immediately for replacements 1-888-884-6677. NOTE: GASKETS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR NON-ACRYLIC BACKBOARDS (steel, aluminum, fiberglass).
- Page 3 11. A half inch hole is located on either side of the nosecone. Using the holes as a guide, drill a 7/16” hole through the silver Tyrant post. Finally, permanently secure the nosecone to the Tyrant post using the 3/8”x 7 1/2” hex bolt and remaining 3/8” flatwashers, lockwasher and hex nut.
