6. PERFECT FENCE

Regardless of the conductor material of your fence, there are several things to consider
that will improve the conductivity of your fence system.
Always keep your fence free of vegetation. Do not run your fence through hedges
and prevent branches or bushes from closing the circuit. This will reduce the
voltage of your fence and the desired strength of the current pulse may no longer
be strong enough. Make sure that the conductor material of your fence does not
touch the ground, e.g. due to sagging.
Only use fence posts with insulators to insulate the conductor material from the
post and the earth. This prevents voltage loss and ensures that the desired current
flows through the conductor material of your fence.
For installation on metal posts or industrial fences, use the appropriate accessories.
TIP: in publicly accessible places you are obliged to mark the fence with signs, e.g.
