8. Cut to size and attach an adhesive foam strip to the base of the window
opening (sill). Add the other adhesive foam strip to the underside of the window
sash (this will close down on the air conditioner).
9. Keep a firm grip on the air conditioner and carefully place the unit into the
window opening so the bottom of the air conditioner frame is against the
window sill. Carefully close the window sash down behind the top rail of the
unit.

11. To install the frame lock, predrill pilot
holes in the sill and left and right bottom
of panel and place the frame lock between
the frame extensions and the window sill.
