    Ultritouch and the Ultrix router. • “Creating a Soft Panel for Ultritouch” provides instructions for using the options in the Panel Editor for an Ultrix router to create a soft panel that can be loaded to an Ultritouch.

    Overview of the Ultrix Soft Panels Editor Ultrix provides a template for creating soft panels that can be loaded and used on an Ultritouch to control the Ultrix routing system. The required template is available in the Ultrix> Database > Panels interface in DashBoard for the router.

    The main toolbar on the Ultritouch provides a method for navigating to the soft panels available in your routing system. Loading a soft panel to an Ultritouch is similar to loading a soft panel to an Ultrix router or Ultricore Central Controller: from the main toolbar you locate the soft panel in the Panel tree of the database (panels are listed in a hierarchy as determined by Panel ID), and open it.

    Setting up a Communications between Ultritouch and Ultrix/Ultricore Ultritouch uses the open SLP protocol to locate devices on the same network as it is connected to. There are two methods to setting up communications between the Ultritouch and Ultrix/Ultricore: using the auto-connect feature or manually adding the router by specifying its IP address.
