Maintenance instructions
All chainsaw service, other than items listed here in your user manual maintenance instructions,
should be performed by a professional.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
A good preventive maintenance program of regular inspection and care will increase life and improve
performance of your chainsaw. This maintenance checklist is a guide for such a program.
Cleaning, adjustment, and parts replacement may be required, under certain conditions, at more
frequent intervals than those indicated.

AIR FILTER
CAUTION: Never operate saw without the air lter. Dust and dirt will be drawn into engine and
damage it. Keep the air lter clean!
TO CLEAN AIR FILTER:
1.
Remove knob (A) holding air lter cover in place, remove the top cover (B) by loosening the cover
retaining screws. Cover will lift off. (Fig.15A)
2.
Lift the air lter (C) out of air-box (D) (Fig.15B).
3.
Clean air lter. Wash lter in clean, warm, soapy water. Rinse in clear, cool water. Air dry
completely.
NOTE:
It is advisable to have a supply of spare lters.
4.
Install air lter. Install engine / air lter cover. Make sure (E) latch (F) and cover t properly. Tighten
the cover retaining knob securely. (Fig.15C &
WARNING: Never perform maintenance when the engine is hot, to avoid any chance of burning
hands or ngers.
