5. OPERATION
5.1.
CHANGING SOLDERING TIP
5.1.1.
Ensure that the soldering iron tip is cold, select the appropriate tip and remove the current tip by applying a quarter turn to the tip
collar. Mount the required tip by lining up the lugs, sliding the collar down the tool and applying a quarter turn.
5.2.
CHARGING
5.2.1.
When connected to a USB power supply the LED in the handle will show red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.
5.3.
USING THE SOLDERING IRON
5.3.1.
Slide the Heating and LED control slider (fig.2) forward to prepare the tool for soldering.
5.3.2.
Depress the red button on top of the slide control to heat the tip and to turn on the LED. While the red button is depressed the tip
will continue to heat. If the button is released the power is effectively switched off.
5.3.3.
When the work is done ensure that the Heating and LED control slider is returned to the Off position (fig.2) and that the tip is cold
before storing.

6. MAINTENANCE
6.1.
If soiled, clean the tool using using a clean, damp cloth. DO NOT get the tool wet.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid
waste authority for recycling information.
BATTERY REMOVAL
Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealey Ltd are required to inform potential purchasers of products
containing batteries (as defined within these regulations), that they are registered with Valpak's registered compliance scheme. Jack
Sealey Ltd's Batteries Producer Registration Number (BPRN) is BPRN00705.
