Intended use
This temperature and air humidity data logger is intended for monitoring and collection of ambi-
ent temperature and humidity data. It is designed for efficient and user-friendly monitoring and
collection of temperature and air humidity values over long periods of time. The results are
stored in the logger and can be easily read via PC USB port.
Current measured values, MAX, MIN, TIME, DATE and temperature and/or air humidity values
are indicated on the LC-display. The data logger is equipped with a high-precision temperature
and air humidity sensor featuring high reaction speed and stability.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Fur-
thermore, improper use may cause risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks etc. Please
read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to
a third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.
The measuring instrument must not be operated when the battery compartment is open.
Measuring under adverse ambient conditions such as dust and flammable gases, vapours or
solvents is not permitted.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating
instructions.

Explanation of symbols
The lightning symbol in a triangle warns of electric shock danger or the impairment
of the electrical safety of the appliance.
An exclamation mark inside a triangle refers to important notes in the operating
instructions.
The arrow symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the device.

Safety instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted
for safety and approval reasons. Do not disassemble the product.
• This product is not a toy. Therefore, be especially careful when children are
around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room into
a warm one. The condensation that forms can ruin the product under certain cir-
cumstances.
• Prevent the following adverse conditions at the location of installation and during
transport:
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight,
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents,
- strong impacts, blows.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• Do not use in the immediate proximity of strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields
or transmission aerials. These can affect the measurement.
• The measuring instrument is suitable for use in dry or damp conditions. Avoid use
in a damp or wet environment.
• Use the measurement device only within the admissible ambient conditions (see
chapter "Technical data".)
Inserting / replacing batteries
Unscrew two screws on the back and open the battery compartment.
Insert a new battery or replace the old battery with a new one.
Close the battery compartment again and secure it with the screws.
The measured data are retained during battery change.
If more than 10 seconds are needed for the change, then the clock will have to be
set again via a software.
The display switches off approx. 20 minutes after the last key function.
General Battery Instructions
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk they may be swallowed by
children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. You
should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion.
• Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries (pay attention to plus/+ and
minus/-).
Installation and general information
• This data logger shall be placed in vertical position. At low temperatures and high air humid-
ity, the data logger shall be put into vertical position for condensed water evaporation before
reading the data on the device.
• Some battery power can be conserved when the data logger is connected to a PC.
a) Measuring ranges
The data logger has an integrated temperature and humidity sensor, and two external tempera-
ture sensors can be connected as well.
The internal temperature sensor has a measuring range of -40 °C to +70 °C.
Each of the two external temperature sensor inputs on the data logger has a measuring range
of -200 °C to +1300 °C.
Important!
T he K-temperature sensors supplied with the temperature logger are suitable
for a temperature range of -20 °C to +250 °C only.
Temperature sensors of different temperature ranges are available as accessories.

b) Cable lock
Included within the scope of delivery you will find
a small cable lock. This can be used to secure
the data logger in the wall holder against unau-
thorised removal. Accordingly, the wall holder
has an opening suitable for the cable lock.
Unlocking the cable lock
Set the right 3-digit numeric code combination
by means of the 3 dials (A) (on the side with the
engraved line marking).
The numeric code default is "000" at
delivery.
To unlock, push the side button (B) in and pull
out the cable (C).
