TROUBLESHOOTING
Leaks from the spout indicate that the plunger is leaking.
Leaks from around the plunger rod indicate that the packing
in the hydrant head is leaking.
You can rebuild the head without removing the hydrant from
the ground.
To replace the plunger, hold the pipe, unscrew the head, and
remove the plunger (rod and all). Remove and replace the
plunger on the rod. Replace the assembly in the riser pipe.
