HELPFUL TIPS

NEVER leave the unit unattended while operating.
Smoking
During first use, you may notice slight smoking or a slight odor; this is normal
with most new appliances. The smoking and odor is caused by the residues
burning off the nonstick Cooking Plates and the Heating Element. Allow
the appliance to preheat until smoke and odor no longer exists.
Nonstick Cooking Plates
Each time you use your WAFFLE & FRENCH TOAST STICK MAKER, it is recommended
that you coat the Cooking Plates lightly with a small amount of vegetable oil.
Vegetable oil can be applied with a paper towel or with a nonstick oil spray.
Preparing French Toast Sticks
You can use any type of bread to make French toast sticks in
your WAFFLE & FRENCH TOAST STICK MAKER.
Traditional White
Wheat
Italian
French
Sourdough
Cinnamon Raisin
When making French toast sticks, cut your desired bread into 1¼-inch wide by 4¼-inch
long sticks. Insert the Bamboo Stick length-wise into the bread, then dip into your batter.
Place into preheated wells of the lower cooking surface, aligning sticks
with notches in Cooking Plates. You may also choose to make French
toast sticks without using the included Bamboo Sticks.
Baking Waffle & French Toast on Sticks
Before cooking food in your WAFFLE
& FRENCH TOAST STICK MAKER, insert
Bamboo Stick and push at least halfway
through food length-wise. Align sticks
with notches in Lower Cooking Surface.
When cooking with batter, fill to top of wells
in Lower Cooking Surface. Place stick in center
of batter, at least halfway through. Be sure
to cover stick with batter to ensure the food
fully adheres to stick and cooks evenly.
